Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress who is best recognized for her roles in films in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue is an American actress, producer and director who works in television and film. Her acting career began in the theater. Then she appeared on various television series as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's massive The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also won a lot of prizes. Her debut on stage as Ariel, as Ariel, The Tempest. She's appeared as a character on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis.
