Camila Cabello, also known as Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, is a Cuban-American actress, singer, and songwriter born on March 3, 1997 in Coj mar, Havana, Cuba. She rose to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, but established herself as a solo artist with collaborations such as "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, which reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. Cabello left Fifth Harmony in 2016 and released her debut solo single "Crying in the Club". She has since released her debut studio album, Camila, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her lead single "Havana" topped charts in many countries, including the US and UK, and her duet with Mendes, "Se orita", became her second single to top the Billboard Hot 100. Cabello's second studio album, Romance, topped at number three on the Billboard 200 chart and number one in Canada. In addition to her music career, Cabello made her acting debut in the film Cinderella in 2021. Cabello grew up in East Havana and moved to Miami, Florida with her mother when she was six years old. Her father, Alejandro Cabello, was born in Mexico City and is Mexican. She has a younger sister named Sofia. Cabello gained American citizenship in 2008 and attended Miami Palmetto High School, but left in the 2012-2013 school year to pursue her singing career. She has a huge fan following on Instagram and has been dating Canadian singer Shawn Mendes since July 2019. Cabello's net worth as of 2023 is $20 million, which she accumulated through her singing and songwriting career. She has collaborated with Pitbull for "Hey Ma" and was part of The Fate of the Furious soundtrack with J Balvin.
